- Act as the Engineer under FIDIC contracts, ensuring fair and impartial administration of contracts between Employer and Contractor
- Administer QIC based contractor agreements in compliance with FIDIC procedures and contractual obligations
- Review and certify interim and final payment certificates, variations, claims, and extensions of time
- Ensure proper documentation, notices, and contractual communications are maintained in accordance with FIDIC requirements
- Serve as an independent decision making authority, maintaining neutrality between contracting parties
- Assess contractor and employer claims objectively, issuing determinations and decisions based on contract provisions
- Provide high level engineering leadership and ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
- Review and approve design submissions and technical deliverables
- Oversee construction activities to ensure alignment with approved plans and contractual scope
- Act as the key interface between Employer, Contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies
- Lead meetings, progress reviews, and resolution discussions related to contractual and technical issues
- Proactively identify project risks and contractual issues
Requirements
- Minimum 20 25+ years of progressive experience in engineering and contract management
- Proven track record serving as Engineer (as defined under FIDIC) on major infrastructure or construction projects
- Deep expertise in FIDIC contract forms (Red Book, Yellow Book, etc.)
- Strong background in large scale, complex contractor environments
