Job Description
This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional to ensure the highest quality standards of our software products through comprehensive testing, rigorous documentation, and systematic problem-solving.
The successful candidate will work with development teams to identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement effective quality solutions that drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical requirements
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from established quality standards
- Document and track defects using defect tracking tools with clear communication of issues and their severity classifications
- Engage with development and product teams to understand requirements, clarify test scenarios, and validate implemented fixes
- Conduct root cause analysis on identified defects and provide substantive recommendations for process improvements
- Maintain detailed test documentation, test reports, and quality metrics to track testing progress and measurable outcomes
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and testing strategy sessions to ensure organizational alignment with quality objectives
- Ensure strict compliance with established quality standards, testing protocols, and industry best practices
- Analyze test results and deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and product enhancements
- Drive continuous improvement of testing processes and quality assurance methodologies to enhance organizational effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in QA/QC or software testing roles
- Demonstrated expertise in software testing lifecycle (STLC) and testing methodologies
- Proficiency in test case design, execution, and documentation
- Competency in both manual and automated testing approaches
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking capabilities
- Proficiency in defect tracking and reporting using industry-standard tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in team environments and collaborate across departments
- Demonstrated organizational capability in managing multiple testing tasks and competing priorities
- Architectural engineering knowledge and understanding of system design principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with automated testing tools such as Selenium, UFT, or equivalent platforms
- Proven experience with test management tools such as TestRail, JIRA, or comparable systems
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and database testing methodologies
- Demonstrated experience with API testing and performance testing protocols
- Substantive exposure to Agile or Scrum development methodologies
- Proven track record testing web applications, mobile applications, or both
- Demonstrated critical thinking capability and systematic approach to quality assurance challenges
