About the Role
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Engineer II to respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.

Responsibilities
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little or no supervision
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut off valves for equipment and building disconnect keys
- Maintain maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies as needed
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
- Assist with surface preparation and painting, small drywall and woodwork repairs, replacement of light bulbs and air conditioner filters
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred, or vocational/technical training
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- Experience in general maintenance, interior and exterior surface preparation and painting
- Valid driver's license
- Universal CFC certification
- Must meet state and federal requirements for certification or license

Position Summary
- Responder y atender las solicitudes de reparaciones de los huéspedes.
- Comunicarse con los huéspedes/clientes para resolver problemas de mantenimiento con poca o ninguna supervisión.
- Realizar mantenimiento preventivo en herramientas y equipo, incluyendo limpieza y lubricación.
- Inspeccionar visualmente las herramientas, el equipo o las máquinas.
- Transportar equipos (por ej., herramientas, radio).
- Identificar, localizar y operar todas las válvulas de cierre para el equipo y las llaves de desconexión de los edificios.
- Llevar un inventario de mantenimiento y solicitar piezas y suministros según sea necesario.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educación: Se prefiere título de estudios secundarios o certificado equivalente de un programa de Desarrollo de Educación General (GED) o título de formación vocacional o técnica.
- Experiencia laboral afín: Experiencia en mantenimiento general, preparación de superficies exteriores e interiores y pintura.
- Al menos 2 años de experiencia en ingeniería/mantenimiento de hoteles.
- Experiencia como supervisor: No se requiere experiencia como supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Licencia o certificación: Carnet de conducir válido
- Certificación universal en clorofluorocarburos (CFC).
- Debe cumplir los requisitos estatales y federales relativos a la certificación o licencia.
