Position Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues through direct communication with guests and customers.
Maintain hotel tools, equipment, guestroom items, building systems, and related facilities.
Maintenance Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, inspections, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on hotel equipment and systems.
- Work with air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and general building systems.
- Complete painting, surface preparation, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and air-conditioning filter replacement, and repair-area cleanup.
- Repair interior and exterior landscaping and external landscaping sprinklers.
- Program televisions and perform general housekeeping and engineering inventory duties.
- Input air handler schedules and make temperature changes using computer systems.
Operations and Communication
- Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and maintain positive working relationships with employees and other teams.
