Responsibilities
- Provide support to the operations and maintenance teams for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine equipment surveillance and start up activities.
- Provide technical support in the field for the execution of critical maintenance activities of the equipments to ensure that the problems are resolved with minimum down time.
- Evaluate, allocate and arrange the manpower requirements for daily preventive, break down and shutdown maintenance plans.
- Assess the workload, backlog and the work plan and coordinate with relevant sections to complete the work plan.
- Monitor and control required material, spares, consumables and tools in high quality and quantities to ensure continuous availability.
- Conduct and implement root cause analysis of equipment failures and non scheduled shutdowns and recommend problem resolutions.
- Provide input to prepare and track the forthcoming major maintenance, upgrades and obsolescence issues to integrate with the division’s 5 years’ rolling business plans.
- Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects in the mechanical design and specifications.
- Participate in defining the technical requirements, technical bid evaluation and inspection of materials on receipt.
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics discipline or equivalent Professional Qualification
- 6 years of experience in Instrument and Control engineering and maintenance within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry

Job Purpose
- Plan and supervise the maintenance activities of a wide range of instrument and control systems in the plant and coordinate these activities with operations and other maintenance teams to ensure reliable functioning of the instrument and control systems.
Maintenance Planning, Execution and expertise
- Provide support to the operations and maintenance teams for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine equipment surveillance and start up activities. Liaise with Mechanical and Electrical sections and establish a seamless integration between operation and maintenance teams to ensure compliance to
- Provide technical support in the field for the execution of critical maintenance activities of the equipments to ensure that the problems are resolved with minimum down time.

Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

- Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
- Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and company Code of Practices
Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation and Control or Electronics discipline or equivalent Professional Qualification
