Role Overview
NMC Group Services seeks a Biomedical Engineer to ensure the safe and effective functioning of all patient care equipment, oversee installation and commissioning, and provide 24/7 on-call support.
The role involves repairing medical equipment, managing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
As a Biomedical Engineer, you will oversee the installation and commissioning of all new medical equipment in the hospital.
You will attend breakdown calls, carry out repairs, and ensure 24/7 on-call support.
You will fix the preventive maintenance schedule, monitor timely completion, and ensure the upkeep of all equipment to its proper and uninterrupted working performance.
You will fix the calibration schedule, monitor timely completion, and ensure patient safety and result accuracy.
You will communicate and follow up with company engineers for repairing and maintenance of equipment’s which are under warranty or contract.
You will provide operating training of equipment’s, to end-users and evaluate the effectiveness of training.
You will investigate incident reports pertaining to Biomedical Department.
You will budget for all matters pertaining to the service / maintenance, upgrading of Medical equipment’s, service contracts etc.
You will ensure needed consumables are always available by timely ordering of spares.
You will direct the evaluation of new technology for patient care, the development of specifications for medical equipment acquisition, the design of test procedure for medical devices and the design of custom devices as needed.
