Our partner is seeking an Embedded Linux Field Engineer to work at the intersection of embedded systems and Linux internals, designing and deploying secure Linux-based solutions for connected devices across automotive, robotics, and industrial systems.

- Engage with customers during presales and technical discovery to understand requirements and translate them into embedded Linux solutions
- Design, adapt, and deliver embedded Linux systems for devices and IoT environments
- Work across the Linux stack including boot processes, firmware, BIOS/UEFI, Secure Boot, and distribution packaging
- Contribute to development, integration, and debugging of embedded systems using Yocto or Buildroot
- Support delivery of customer projects as both technical advisor and implementation contributor
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system level issues across hardware and software layers
- Communicate market and customer needs back to internal engineering teams
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent delivery of production grade embedded solutions
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with Linux systems, ideally Debian or Ubuntu
- Solid background in embedded Linux development including Yocto and/or Buildroot
- Experience with bootloaders, BIOS/UEFI, firmware, and Secure Boot
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: C, C++, Python, Go, or Rust
- Experience with Linux distribution packaging (deb, rpm) and system integration
- Strong debugging skills and ability to analyze complex system level issues
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including customer facing interactions
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Professional English proficiency
- Willingness to travel internationally up to ~30%

- Work across the Linux stack, including boot processes, firmware, BIOS/UEFI, Secure Boot, and distribution packaging.
