- Provide calibration and repair capability for electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment
- Provide training to laboratory and site personnel on new equipment
- Calibrate and/or repair all electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment supported by the calibration laboratory
- Develop new procedures and methods for performing calibration on new equipment
- Perform precision calibration of state of the art electronic equipment
- Develop test jigs, fixtures, and special test setups for calibration of newly acquired or special purpose equipment
- Provide on the job training for technicians in electronic theory and use of electronic standards
- Make site visits for training, evaluation, and technical assistance as needed
- Assist section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards
Requirements
- Strong background in digital electronics and RF/Microwave
- Minimum 4 years experience in calibration of electronic equipment
- Deep understanding of principles and concepts related to measurement, calibration, and instrumentation
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- Proficient in using computers and software applications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's Degree with 4 years related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years, or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years

Overview
- The Electronic Equipment Calibration Technician provides calibration and repair capability in support of all electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment.
What You Will Do
- Provides calibration and repair capability in support of all electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment.
- Provides training to laboratory and site personnel on new equipment, as required.
- Calibrates and/or repairs all electronic test measurement and diagnostic equipment supported by the calibration laboratory.
- Helps to develop new procedures and methods of performing calibration on new equipment.
- Performs precision calibration of state of the art electronic equipment as required.
- Develops test jigs, fixtures and special test setups for calibration of newly acquired or special purpose equipment when required.
- Provides on the job training (OJT) for technicians in electronic theory, the use of electronic standards and their application to equipment calibration.
- Required to make site visits for training, evaluation and technical assistance as needed.
- Assists the section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must have a strong background in digital electronics and RF / Microwave.
- Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in calibration of electronic equipment.
- Must have a deep understanding of the principles and concepts related to measurement, calibration, and instrumentation.
- Must be meticulous in their work, as minor discrepancies in measurements can have significant consequences.
- Must be proficient in using computers and various software applications related to their work.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Familiar with various types of measuring equipment and understand their operation, maintenance, and calibration requirements.
- A strong foundation in mathematics, as they must perform calculations and interpret numerical data.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years’ experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.

Salary Range
- The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD 165,200 USD.
