Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Electro Mechanical Inspector
to join our team!
In this role you will get to
perform on complex inspection tasks and perform continuous surveillance of assigned maintenance and inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
What You'Ll Be Doing
- Periodic inspection of existing assets including road lighting system, Traffic signals, Underpass & under bridge lighting systems, tunnel electromechanical systems, pumping stations etc.
- Demolition of transportation facilities (roads, streets, bridges etc.)
- Construction/ maintenance of road lighting system, Underpass & under bridge lighting systems, tunnel electromechanical systems, pumping stations etc.
- Drainage work, traffic control, compliance with SWPPP requirements.
- Installation of electrical equipment related to traffic signals, ramp metering and street lighting.
- Installation of mechanical equipment.
- Building and facility maintenance/construction and associated site development.
- Taking project photographs on a daily basis and filing them.
- Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations and writes daily diaries.
- Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract
- Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
- Performs labor compliance interviews and maintains as-built plans.
- Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution.
- Collects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used.
- May provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors.
- Coordinates work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing.
- Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.
- Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures.
- Reports on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work.
- Responds to the call backs in case of emergency at the project site.
- May administer welder qualification tests.
What Required Skills You'Ll Bring
- Degree/ Associate's Degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in the Asset management and maintenance, Such as: road lighting, traffic signals, signage, underpass lighting, traffic signals, pumping stations, architectural, mechanical, or electrical within the emirate of Dubai.
- Must possess the ability to read working drawings and related specifications, and capable of enforcing such specifications.
- Solid experience in maintaining relevant records and generating activity reports.
- Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
- Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
What Desired Skills You'Ll Bring
- Experience working on UAE Road Maintenance projects will be advantageous.
- Experience in identifying non-conforming works, generating reports and corrective actions and coordinating responses.
