Role Overview
The Electro-Mechanical AC Technician will install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning and HVAC systems.
The role covers mechanical refrigeration and electrical controls, wiring, motors, and related equipment.
Maintenance and Repair
- Perform preventive maintenance on AC and HVAC units, including cleaning, inspection, and parts replacement.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in compressors, motors, wiring, controls, and refrigerant systems.
- Work with VFDs, PLCs, and building automation systems.
Documentation and Coordination
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Maintain service records and reports for maintenance and repair work.
- Coordinate schedules with clients and internal teams and explain equipment issues.
Safety and Work Conditions
- Follow safety protocols for refrigerant handling and electrical work.
- The role includes physical tasks such as lifting and working at heights.
Qualifications and Experience
- ITI, diploma, associate's degree, or related qualification in electro-mechanical, HVAC, electrical, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in AC or HVAC maintenance and repair.
- Valid EPA/CFC certification for refrigerant handling.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical circuits, and control systems.
- Ability to work independently and perform the physical tasks required for the role.
