Qualifications

• A qualified graduate engineer in Electrical Engineering is required.
• A master's degree or chartered engineering status is a plus.
• At least 6-8 years of experience in engineering consultancy firms, including substantial site experience, is required.
• Experience on Middle East projects is highly preferred.

Business Development

• Develop a network of contacts on each contract and promote a unified commitment to excellence with site and design team colleagues.

Project Role

• Work as an engineer on projects reporting to an Associate or Senior Engineer, and occasionally as Project Engineer on smaller or less complex projects.
• Prepare and review electrical designs, calculations, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Work within agreed fees, scope of services, and project programmes.
• Manage project resources and programmes.
• Attend design coordination, technical, team, and site meetings.
• Liaise with design teams and contractors on a day-to-day basis.
• Set up and maintain project filing systems and receive project correspondence.
• Implement project quality assurance policies and CDM requirements.

Company Role

• Understand the business plan, mission statement, and key company challenges.
• Contribute to company procedures through task groups and team activities.
• Review and comment on company procedures through the feedback system.
• Apply policies relating to health and safety, quality, and training.

Engineering Function

• Agree design philosophy and design fundamentals.
• Review and comment on engineer and technician deliverables at key project stages.
• Demonstrate broad technical competence.
• Apply knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment, and claim assessment.
• Apply knowledge of analytical concepts, CAD standards, and 3D working.
• Take responsibility for quality management for the team.

QHSE Responsibilities

• Understand, implement, and follow 9E QHSE policies and procedures.
• Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws related to QHSE.
• Report QHSE incidents immediately to the QHSE department and legal authorities when required.
• Follow client and contractor QHSE requirements and complete site induction before mobilizing to sites.
