Role Overview
Engineering consultancy in Dubai is hiring an Electrical Engineer with DM approval for electrical building and infrastructure projects.
The role covers electrical design, site supervision, authority approvals, project coordination, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed electrical site surveys and prepare concept designs, load schedules, single-line diagrams, and fire alarm layouts.
- Review multidisciplinary drawings, equipment sizing and selection, specifications, budgets, schedules, and tender documentation.
- Review electrical and MEP submittals and obtain approvals from DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, FEWA, Civil Defense, and Municipal authorities.
- Manage variations, site work instructions, project delivery, client meetings, subcontractors, testing, commissioning, and maintenance contracts.
- Coordinate resources across multiple projects and conduct pre-contract and post-contract site evaluations.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant electrical site supervision experience on high-rise buildings in the UAE.
- Recent HV, MV, and LV electrical design experience to local and international standards.
- Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, ANSI, IESNA, NFPA, IEC, and GCC authority standards.
- Infrastructure experience covering substations, HV corridors, MV systems up to 33 kV, LV networks, calculations, and report writing.
