Responsibilities
- Lead the design of HV and MV substations including single line diagrams, control and protection schemes, grounding, lighting, and cable routing
- Prepare detailed design packages, technical specifications, and datasheets for electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, and cables
- Perform electrical load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies using ETAP or similar software
- Perform SCADA/protection systems design
- Review and approve design deliverables prepared by electrical engineers and draftsmen to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with standards
- Interface with other disciplines and ensure all electrical design requirements are properly coordinated
- Provide technical support during tendering, procurement, and construction phases
- Conduct vendor document reviews and ensure equipment compliance with client and project requirements
- Participate in design review meetings, HAZOPs, and technical clarifications with clients and third parties
- Ensure all designs adhere to Saudi Aramco, SEC, IEC, and international standards
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (implied by role)
- 10 16 years of experience in electrical design, particularly substations
- Experience with Saudi Aramco, SEC, IEC, and international standards
- Proficiency in ETAP or similar software for load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies
- Experience in SCADA/protection systems design

Job Overview
- SaudConsult is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design activities for LV/MV/HV & Substations, power transmission, and distribution projects across the Kingdom.
- The candidate will play a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and compliant electrical engineering solutions for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, Building & Infrastructure projects.
