Primary Purpose of the Job
Function as Discipline Lead and Technical Authority TA2 for a project.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of discipline engineers.
Lead and manage the contractor's work and team for successful project execution.
Achieve required technical quality and integrity while meeting safety, schedule, and cost objectives.
Review and approve project deliverables.
Experience and Technical Requirements
- Have 20 years of relevant post-graduate experience, including 10 years in the oil and gas industry and five years in leadership roles.
- Hold Shell Technical Authority Level 2 TA2, an equivalent qualification, or be eligible to receive TA2 designation after interview.
- Demonstrate knowledge of turbomachinery control systems, DCS, SCADA, ESD and FGS safety systems, and gas compressor anti-surge control.
- Have experience with International Operating Companies and EPC contractors.
- Have experience in concept or feasibility, FEED, and EPIC oil and gas projects.
- Have experience in refinery projects and with process licensors such as UOP.
- Know international standards and Shell DEPs for instrumentation and control.
- Experience with QatarEnergy standards, procedures, and guidelines is preferred.
