- Translate developmental and learning standards into practical educational content, learning experiences, activities, and implementation guidance

- Design and evaluate printed, visual, sensory, digital, and interactive learning resources appropriate for nursery and KG settings
- Support curriculum piloting and field testing in nursery and KG settings and collect feedback
- Analyse pilot results, implementation evidence, assessment data, and field feedback to recommend curriculum and resource improvements
- Provide technical guidance and professional support to educators and leaders on effective use of curricula and learning resources
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education and development within nursery and KG settings
- Strong understanding of child centred, play based, exploratory, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning
- Knowledge of curriculum design, curriculum mapping, learning standards, learning outcomes, and educational content development
- Ability to develop and evaluate printed, digital, sensory, visual, and interactive learning resources
- Strong research, benchmarking, analytical, and evaluation skills
- Strong instructional writing, editing, proofreading, and educational content development skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant content development, design, and educational technology tools

Role Overview
- The Early Years Curriculum and Learning Resources Specialist supports the development, review, implementation, and continuous improvement of early childhood curricula, educational frameworks, learning resources, and formative assessment tools for nursery and KG settings.
- The role translates early learning standards and developmental principles into practical educational content, guidance materials, and high quality learning resources.
- It also supports curriculum piloting, implementation monitoring, research, data analysis, and professional guidance of educators.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the development, review, and updating of early childhood curricula, learning standards, educational frameworks, and related policies.
- Translate developmental and learning standards into practical educational content, learning experiences, activities, and implementation guidance.
- Develop and review curriculum documents, educator guides, lesson support materials, activity resources, and parent guidance materials.
- Design and evaluate printed, visual, sensory, digital, and interactive learning resources appropriate for nursery and KG settings.
- Ensure that curriculum content and learning resources support child centred, play based, exploratory, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Support the development of learning experiences across language, literacy, numeracy, physical development, social emotional learning, creativity, communication, and exploration.
- Contribute to the development of formative assessment tools that support observation and monitoring of children's learning, growth, and development.
- Support curriculum piloting and field testing in nursery and KG settings and collect feedback from educators, leaders, children, and relevant stakeholders.
- Analyse pilot results, implementation evidence, assessment data, and field feedback to recommend curriculum and resource improvements.
- Monitor the implementation and use of approved curricula and learning resources and identify areas requiring clarification, support, or revision.
- Provide technical guidance and professional support to educators and leaders on the effective use of curricula, educational guides, and learning resources.
- Participate in workshops, orientation sessions, and professional development activities related to curriculum implementation.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education and development within nursery and KG settings.
- Strong understanding of child centred, play based, exploratory, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning.
- Knowledge of curriculum design, curriculum mapping, learning standards, learning outcomes, and educational content development.
- Ability to develop and evaluate printed, digital, sensory, visual, and interactive learning resources.
- Understanding of formative assessment, observation, documentation of learning, and developmental progress.
- Knowledge of inclusive education and adapting curriculum and resources for diverse learning and developmental needs.
- Strong research, benchmarking, analytical, and evaluation skills.
- Strong instructional writing, editing, proofreading, and educational content development skills.
- Ability to convert educational theory and standards into practical classroom and nursery applications.
- Strong report writing, presentation, and professional communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple curriculum and resource development assignments.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools, educational platforms, multimedia applications, and instructional design principles.
