Responsibilities
- Perform quality control inspections on all Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) installations in hazardous areas as per CompEx certification requirements
- Verify compliance of E&I equipment, cabling, glanding, and terminations with IECEx/ATEX standards and project specifications
- Conduct inspections of explosion proof equipment, intrinsically safe circuits, and pressurized enclosures
- Review and approve method statements, ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), and quality documentation prior to execution
- Perform visual inspections, dimensional checks, and functional testing of E&I systems and components
- Identify non conformances, issue NCRs (Non Conformance Reports), and ensure timely closure of corrective actions
- Liaise with client representatives, subcontractors, and project management to resolve quality related issues
- Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, and as built documentation
- Ensure all E&I works comply with safety protocols, hazard area classifications, and client HSE requirements
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments as required
Requirements
- CompEx Certification (Competency in Explosive Atmospheres) – Mandatory
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an E&I QC Inspector in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects
- Proven experience in hazardous area inspections and compliance with IECEx/ATEX standards
- Knowledge of international codes and standards: IEC 60079, NEC 500/505, API, ASME
- Excellent communication and report writing skills in English

Job Purpose
- The CompEx Certified E&I QC Inspector shall be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) works in hazardous areas as per CompEx standards.
- The role involves inspection, testing, verification, and documentation of E&I installations to ensure adherence to project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience
- CompEx Certification (Competency in Explosive Atmospheres) – Mandatory.
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an E&I QC Inspector in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects.
- Proven experience in hazardous area inspections and compliance with IECEx/ATEX standards.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards: IEC 60079, NEC 500/505, API, ASME.
- Valid offshore medical certificate and BOSIET / HUET certification (preferred).
- Proficiency in NDT methods and inspection tools relevant to E&I systems.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills in English.
