Dar Al Yusr is seeking a detail-oriented
Document Controller
to support project documentation activities for a large-scale project.
The role will assist in receiving, logging, indexing, uploading, tracking, and maintaining project documents, while ensuring proper version control, document accessibility, and organized records for project and handover requirements.
Responsibilities
- Receive, log, index, upload, and maintain project documents in the document management system / common data environment.
- Maintain proper version control and ensure that only current approved documents are available for use.
- Prepare and track document transmittals, submittals, approval logs, and document registers.
- Update document registers and configuration lists regularly and provide status reports when required.
- Support document audits by retrieving required records and maintaining proper audit trails.
- Report overdue documents, missing signatures, incomplete records, or document control issues.
- Support the preparation of files and folders required for final handover documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth document flow, proper filing, and timely document updates.
- Assist in maintaining document backup, archiving, and repository organization as directed.
- Ensure documents are complete, properly named, filed, and accessible to authorized users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, Science, or a related field.
- Minimum
- 7 years of experience
- in document control within engineering, construction, or project-based environments.
- Experience with EDMS / CDE platforms such as
Aconex, OpenText, Oracle, SharePoint
- , or similar systems.
- Good knowledge of document registers, transmittals, version control, submittal logs, approval logs, and filing structures.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive documentation tasks accurately.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and proactively resolve document filing or tracking issues.
- Certification in document management is an advantage.
