Job Summary

  • The Director of Transition Finance and Advisory (TFA) (Market) role is responsible for acting as the primary sustainable finance and transition advisory point of contact for bankers and clients in the market.
  • The role translates global frameworks, thematic insights and bank capabilities into credible client positioning and executable financing pathways.
  • The role focuses on Origination, Client Engagement and Content Creation with a focus on driving commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support origination and execution of Sustainable and Transition Finance transactions.
  • Increase awareness of SF offerings and benefits among underpenetrated clients.
  • Win new businesses where ESG can differentiate the bank.
  • Identify client opportunities for distribution of the bank’s sustainable finance assets.
  • SF product execution / structuring, where agreed with Products and the bank is SF coordinator.
  • Work with targeted clients on SF / Transition frameworks when clear monetisation opportunities.
  • Work with the Global Transition Technologies teams to originate Energy Transition transactions across markets.
  • Contribute to content led client engagements with clear monetisation opportunities.
  • Develop understanding of market specific SF developments.
  • Develop sector specific content covering ESG thematic, trends, market dynamics, peer benchmarking, etc.
  • Support brand building and profiling.
  • Strengthen governance, risk discipline, and role clarity.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sustainable finance, ESG or transition advisory across sectors and markets.
  • Track record of developing scalable sector narratives, analytical insights or flagship content.
  • Experience supporting complex or novel sustainable or transition finance situations.
  • Advanced knowledge of sustainable and transition finance concepts, market standards and emerging practices.
