Overview
- Parsons is looking for a Director of Systems & Rolling Stock to provide technical vision and engineering leadership for a fully automated (GoA4) driverless rail system.
- The role operates client side within a developer led environment, bridging master planning and core rail systems.
Key Responsibilities
- System Ownership: Serve as ultimate technical authority for all railway sub systems including GoA4 signaling (CBTC), rolling stock, power supply/traction, telecommunications, SCADA, and depot equipment.
- Interface Architecture: Lead integration of rail infrastructure into master planned developer sectors.
- Innovation & Future Proofing: Ensure system leverages modern automated rail technologies optimized for Saudi Arabia's conditions.
- Consultant Oversight: Act as primary client interface managing international engineering consultants, PMOs, and shadow operators.
- Internal Governance: Establish technical review gateways, safety assurance protocols (RAMS), and configuration control boards.
- Risk & Value Engineering: Identify technical risks early and implement mitigation strategies; run value engineering exercises.
- Stakeholder Integration: Coordinate with real estate development teams to align rail system alignment, station footprints, and utility corridors.
- Commercial Mindset: Navigate developer led environment understanding impact of delivery timelines and construction phasing.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolve complex technical interface conflicts between transit systems and real estate assets.
