Director Strategic Sourcing

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for goods and services across all MEA countries.
• Lead supplier performance management, cost optimization, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Partner with local business leaders to improve cost efficiency, customer experience, product quality, and productivity.
• Transform procurement with a focus on cost leadership, innovation, and operational effectiveness.
• Support Operations teams with procurement compliance and best practices.
• Maintain supplier relationships and reliable sources of supply and information.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements.
• Escalate supplier matters and align internal stakeholders.
• Implement global procurement contracts and initiatives across the region.
• Lead and develop a multicultural team across multiple countries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is highly desirable.
• At least 10 years of strategic sourcing experience is required.
• Experience in cross-cultural and matrix-based environments is required.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities are required.
• Ability to operate consultatively, adapt to ambiguity, and demonstrate resilience and persistence is required.
• Able to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Workplace

• The role is based at the Area Support Office on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai and covers the Middle East and Africa region.
• The position requires approximately 50% travel.
