Director Strategic Sourcing

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for goods and services across MEA countries.
• Manage supplier performance, continuous improvement, cost optimization, and innovation.
• Partner with local leaders to improve cost efficiency, customer experience, product quality, and productivity.
• Transform procurement with a focus on cost leadership, innovation, and operational effectiveness.
• Support Operations teams with procurement compliance and best practices.
• Build supplier relationships and secure reliable sources of supply and information.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service level agreements under corporate policies.
• Escalate supplier matters and align with internal stakeholders.
• Implement global contracts and initiatives with Corporate GPP Procurement.
• Lead and develop a multicultural team across multiple countries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• A Master’s degree is highly desirable.
• At least 10 years of strategic sourcing experience is required.
• Experience in cross-cultural and matrix-based environments is required.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities are required.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, changing priorities, and challenging stakeholder dynamics is required.
• Travel of approximately 50% of the time is required.

Location and Work Setting

• The role is based at the Area Support Office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
