Requirements
- What You Will Do
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Solution Engineers across EMEA , building an environment where continuous growth, accountability, and customer obsession are the norm. You'll recruit, coach, and retain talent that can meet finance leaders where they are and show them a better way forward.
- Drive regional growth — your team's contribution to pipeline and closed revenue is the ultimate measure of success. You'll partner with Sales, Customer Sales & Channel Alliance leadership to ensure Solution Engineering effort is focused where it will have the greatest commercial impact.
- Be a visible presence on strategic deals , joining your team in front of CFOs, Controllers, and senior finance leaders when the stakes are highest. Your credibility in the room — both technical and commercial — will shape how prospects experience Prophix at the moments that matter most.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, Product and Professional Services to ensure what we promise in the pre-sales cycle is grounded in what we can deliver — and that customer insights from the field flow back into how we build, position, and go to market.
- Drive consistency and quality across how the team discovers, demonstrates, and proves value — building repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and assets that raise the ceiling for what EMEA Solution Engineering can deliver at scale.
- Stay ahead of the market , tracking CPM/EPM trends, competitive movements, and evolving customer priorities across European markets — and feeding those insights back into product, sales strategy, and enablement.
- What You Will Bring
- We hire for potential as much as experience. If this role excites you but you don’t check every box, we still want to hear from you. At Prophix, people who ask good questions, adapt quickly, and bring a fresh perspective often make the biggest impact.
- Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, or presales consulting, including a minimum of 2 years directly managing or formally mentoring a presales team.
- Proven track record building or scaling a presales function within a B2B SaaS environment, with experience in enterprise or mid-market software sales cycles.
- Strong command of deal qualification and demo methodologies and best practices, with the ability to coach a team in applying them consistently and effectively.
- Confident communicator and presenter across all levels of an organisation, from individual contributors through to senior business leaders and executive decision-makers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with full English proficiency (C2) required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Comfortable using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, and data review
- Able to learn new tools and adapt as technology and workflows evolve.
- Curious, open to new approaches, and motivated to continuously improve.
- Collaborative mindset when working across teams and with AI supported tooling.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Academic or practical knowledge of financial concepts — including planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidations, and reporting — or prior experience in EPM/CPM, FP&A, or financial systems.
- Hands-on experience with Financial Consolidation processes, Tax Reporting, ESG standards, or Regulatory Compliance frameworks such as XBRL or ESEF.
- Proficiency in one or more additional European languages, enabling deeper engagement with prospects and customers across the region.
- Familiarity with leading CPM or ERP platforms such as Prophix, Anaplan, Vena, Planful, or OneStream.
- Experience working in a high-growth or scaling SaaS business, where building and evolving a function from the ground up was part of the role.
