The Director owns Gilead’s enterprise data, reporting, analytics, and SAP Business Technology Platform capabilities.
The role defines strategy, architecture, governance, and delivery across the SAP ecosystem to support real-time decisions, advanced analytics, AI, and enterprise reporting.
The position reports to the Senior Director, ERP Technology and Operations.
Workplace
- The role is based in Stockley Park and is onsite three days per week with two days of remote working.
- Gilead plans to move the Stockley Park and Holborn offices to a new London headquarters from approximately Q2 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Own the enterprise strategy and future-state architecture for SAP Business Data Cloud, reporting, analytics, and SAP BTP.
- Lead SAP data products, semantic models, governed data assets, reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and self-service analytics.
- Define and govern BTP extensions, integrations, workflows, automation, and custom applications.
- Align analytics priorities with business strategy and translate requirements into scalable, compliant technology solutions.
- Oversee strategic program budgets, scope, risks, timelines, resources, governance, and delivery quality.
- Establish data quality, stewardship, lineage, cataloging, lifecycle, privacy, security, and compliance practices.
- Drive AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, SAP Joule, and generative AI innovation.
Key skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 15 or more years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 12 or more years of relevant experience.
- Deep expertise in SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP BTP.
- Experience with enterprise data strategy, cloud analytics platforms, data architecture, governance, master data, and integration.
- Experience leading SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and delivering executive reporting and analytics solutions.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, cloud platforms, integration architectures, and API management.
- Experience influencing executive stakeholders, leading global teams, and delivering complex transformational initiatives.
Preferred qualifications
- Certification in SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, or SAP BTP.
- Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Snowflake, Databricks, or other modern cloud data ecosystems.
- Knowledge of AI-driven analytics, data products, and enterprise information management frameworks.
