About Moove

  • Moove is one of the world's fastest growing mobility infrastructure companies.
  • We finance and supply vehicles to mobility platforms across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America and we're building the infrastructure layer that the next generation of mobility will depend on.
  • The company is pre IPO, operating at scale across multiple geographies, and moving through one of the most consequential phases of its growth.

About The Role

  • The Director of Strategy & Operations serves as a trusted partner to the Co CEO and President, ensuring that ambitious growth plans are executable, aligned, and supported across the organisation.
  • The role will be crucial in operationalizing the vision of Moove.
  • On the execution side, this role owns the operating rhythm of the leadership team, converts strategic direction into clear accountabilities, and ensures decisions are structured, actioned, and embedded across business units.
  • On the strategic side, the Director of Strategy & Operations researches and constructs long term corporate strategy, embeds governance and decision rights, and provides forward looking scenario analysis to feed into any corporate planning.
  • Because much of the company’s operating infrastructure is still being built, this role carries significant build responsibility.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Research, construct, and support the development of long term corporate strategy in partnership with the Co CEO and President; ensure it is cascaded into business unit priorities through structured communication channels including town halls, leadership briefings, and BU level planning.
  • Operationalise the operating model, ensuring business units are aligned, accountable, and able to deliver against growth priorities
  • Guide the decentralisation effort, embedding governance structures and clear decision rights across business units
  • Partner with senior functional leaders to identify and close capability gaps that impact business performance
  • Provide forward looking scenario analysis to feed into future strategy
  • Own the executive operating rhythm, leadership meetings, offsites, board and committee reviews, ensuring decisions are structured, actioned, and embedded
  • Translate strategic direction into clear actions, owners, and timelines across the organisation; hold stakeholders accountable to commitments
  • Identify and remove blockers; drive stalled decisions to resolution with pace and rigour
  • Facilitate integration across functions and business units, aligning resources and priorities to avoid silos
  • Identify and escalate risks that may impact business performance or growth, ensuring mitigation plans are in place
  • Embed OKRs and business performance scorecards in collaboration with the People Team; provide data driven insights to the Co CEO and executive team to inform decisions
  • Manage information flow to and from the Co CEO, surface what requires attention and filter what does not

Strategic Outputs

  • Prepare and own high stakes outputs: board materials, investor updates, strategic documents, and executive briefings
  • Lead specific strategic and operational workstreams directly when required, including platform development and capital markets preparation
  • Identify and deploy AI tools and workflows to increase the velocity and quality of the Co CEO’s office

What You will need for this position

  • 6–10 years of experience owning outcomes in high growth or high complexity environments
  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff, Director of Strategy & Operations, COO, or senior operator at a high velocity technology company, or equivalent seniority from top tier strategy consulting with demonstrated operational delivery
  • Experience building or running a critical function through a period of rapid growth, transformation, or M&A activity
  • Demonstrable track record of closing things, decisions, commitments, workstreams, at pace and without loss of quality
  • Exceptional written communication; produces board quality documents, strategic memos, and executive briefings
