Role Description
Lead the forum’s renewable energy strategy and initiatives.
Focus on how sustainable energy policy and practice can support communities affected by conflict and contribute to long-term resilience.
This is a part-time, remote role involving project management, research, policy advice, stakeholder coordination, and technical guidance.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage renewable energy projects.
- Analyze regional energy trends and advise on policy positions relevant to Pakistan and Palestine.
- Develop concept notes, briefings, reports, presentations, and advocacy materials.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and partner organizations.
- Provide technical guidance on renewable energy solutions for humanitarian and community-focused programs.
- Conduct research, participate in virtual meetings, and support fundraising and grant proposals.
- Link energy sustainability initiatives with peace and development objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in renewable energy and the broader energy industry, with demonstrated experience in sustainable energy projects or programs.
- Knowledge of energy policy and energy management, including the ability to assess regulatory frameworks and propose policy recommendations.
- Advanced analytical skills for interpreting technical, economic, and social data related to energy access, sustainability, and community impact.
- Experience in project planning and coordination, preferably in nonprofit, humanitarian, or international development contexts.
- Relevant academic background in engineering, environmental science, energy systems, public policy, or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating reports, advocacy briefs, and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, collaborate across cultures and disciplines, and align technical work with humanitarian goals.
- Prior experience in South Asian or Middle Eastern contexts or familiarity with energy challenges in conflict-affected regions is an asset.
