Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting

Position Overview
- 2 Hour Learning seeks its academic leader and strategic architect.
- Model: students achieve accelerated learning—twice the pace—within two hours per day, powered by AI driven tutoring and mastery based progression.
- This position is a leadership imperative: direct academic strategy, establish rigorous standards, diagnose execution shortfalls, and develop high performing teams.
What You Will Be Doing
- Developing academic frameworks that operationalize learning science for curriculum design, motivational architecture, and application development.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistent delivery of results across school teams.
- Analyzing data, conducting interviews, and performing direct observation to produce academic ecosystem assessments that identify critical barriers and recommend targeted interventions.
- Ensuring strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on learning objectives.
- Serving as the principal representative of 2 Hour Learning in high stakes contexts, including keynote presentations and meetings with Ministries of Education.

- Engaging in isolated curriculum development that does not produce system wide impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student outcomes or operational implementation.
- Transferring accountability for performance to mid level managers or external consultants.
- Depending on institutional reputation or conceptual frameworks to convince critical audiences.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field

Working with Us

- Compensation: $200 USD/hour, equating to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours/week and 50 weeks/year.
