What You Will Be Doing
- Designing and iterating an AI-powered learning ecosystem that demonstrably surpasses traditional education, validated by concrete improvements in student performance metrics
- Interacting directly with students via virtual channels to capture their learning journeys, obstacles, and achievements, applying these findings to refine the learning ecosystem continuously
- Extracting insights from learning platform data to identify actionable opportunities and engineer high-impact academic interventions using AI/ML, learning science, and motivational frameworks
- Fostering a culture of ambitious experimentation and evidence-informed decision-making, using data to catalyze transformative shifts in student growth patterns
- Collaborating with platform engineering, data science, and design teams to convert academic discoveries and student input into intuitive product improvements
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Wrapping traditional schooling in AI packaging. This is not about replicating classroom teaching through digital screens – we are reimagining learning fundamentally from first principles.
- Reviewing data in a vacuum. You will routinely interact with K-12 students, treating their feedback as critical input from our paying customers.
- Seeking unanimous approval before challenging norms. You will advocate a bold vision and mobilize others through data-backed outcomes.
- Relying on established practices. You will have the latitude to test novel approaches to motivation, assessment, and pedagogy.

Director Of Learning Key Responsibilities
Lead innovation in AI-driven, teacher-less education to achieve outstanding student results across multiple campuses.
Integrate data analytics with consistent student interaction to continually refine our learning ecosystem, evaluated by AP exam scores and MAP assessment growth.
Basic Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Leadership experience in education or EdTech
- Experience applying AI technologies in an educational or professional context
- Experience designing and implementing AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
- Strong understanding of learning science principles and data-driven educational approaches
- Proven ability to communicate complex educational and technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
The payment period is weekly.
