Job Summary

The role will direct/lead all FM operations, maintenance, and safety strategies to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective environments.

Key duties include managing budgets, overseeing contractors and staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and directing capital projects and work across large portfolios to optimize space and mitigate risk.

Key Accountabilities

  • **Strategic Planning:**
  • Develop long-range goals for facility improvements, sustainability initiatives, and energy management.
  • **Financial Oversight:**
  • Manage departmental budgets, including operating expenses, capital investment planning, and cost-control strategies.
  • **Operational Management:**
  • Direct routine maintenance, building system repairs, and ensure high reliability of infrastructure.
  • **Vendor and Contract Management:**
  • Negotiate and manage contracts for services such as cleaning, security, pest control, and landscaping.
  • **Compliance and Safety:**
  • Ensure all facilities adhere to local, state, and federal building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • **Emergency Response:**
  • Establish and execute emergency preparedness, safety protocols, and disaster recovery plans.
  • **Staff Leadership:**
  • Supervise, train, and develop facilities staff to optimize productivity.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • **Experience:**
  • 10+ years of experience in facilities management or related fields, including leadership roles.
  • **Education:**
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, business, or a related field.
  • **Technical Knowledge:**
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems.
  • **Skills:**
  • Proficiency in budget management, vendor management, strategic planning, and professional communication.
  • **Certification:**
  • Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or similar credentials are often preferred
