• In this position you will lead the engineering and deployment of AI applications across the enterprise.
• You will be responsible for building scalable and compliant systems including conversational AI agents and operational automation tools.
• As a senior leader you will manage a team of specialists to ensure technical excellence while architecting modern infrastructure that supports the future of banking.

• Engineer next generation AI platforms featuring large language model based agents and secure knowledge systems
• Architect AI and ML platform components while implementing best practices for operational excellence
• Build and manage cloud native infrastructure and machine learning pipelines using major cloud providers
• Lead and mentor a team of five to ten direct reports to ensure performance goals and development objectives are achieved
• Act as a technical translator between business units and IT departments to identify opportunities for leveraging data
• Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices and evaluate emerging tools to improve platform reliability
• Oversee the implementation of departmental policies and procedures to maintain high service standards for stakeholders
• Participate in rapid prototyping and stay engaged with global AI communities to keep the organisation at the forefront of emerging trends

• At least eight years of experience leading AI or ML engineering and large scale digital product development
• Proven track record in deploying enterprise grade AI solutions within the banking or financial services sector
• Strong expertise in large language models plus transformers and vector databases
• Proficiency in Python along with cloud platforms and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Expertise in building scalable microservices architectures and managing complex data environments
• Bachelor degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence Master degree in a related field is preferred
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse functional teams
