The hotel combines fitness, nutrition, sleep, recovery, and mindfulness facilities for guests pursuing peak mental and physical performance.

About the Role

The Director of Fitness will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Fitness and Recovery Labs.

The role oversees service standards, guest engagement, profitability, programming, membership growth, budgets, and operational excellence.

The position reports to the Hotel Manager and leads Fitness Managers, Personal Trainers, Recovery Specialists, and Nutrition professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall operation of the Fitness and Recovery facilities.
  • Drive financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and revenue growth.
  • Develop innovative fitness programs, classes, and member journeys.
  • Ensure exceptional guest and member satisfaction.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to promote fitness offerings and memberships.
  • Maintain standards of health, safety, cleanliness, and service.
  • Implement new wellness initiatives based on industry trends.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a luxury, five-star hospitality fitness, wellness, or lifestyle environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior Fitness, Wellness, or Spa leadership role.
  • Strong experience managing budgets, commercial performance, and operational standards.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience in guest relations, membership growth, and service excellence.
  • Strong administration and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with fitness management systems such as Mindbody is preferred.
  • An internationally recognised diploma, degree, or equivalent qualification in Fitness, Sports Science, Wellness, or a related field is required.
  • Fluent English communication skills are required; additional languages are advantageous.
