About the Role
AD Ports Group seeks a Director of Data Privacy to lead the global data privacy program. You will design and implement privacy strategy, ensure GDPR compliance, and advise executive management.

Responsibilities
- Lead the enterprise wide data privacy program for a global organization
- Serve as senior subject matter expert on GDPR and other applicable privacy laws
- Act as primary privacy advisor to Chief Compliance Officer and senior leadership
- Design, implement, and mature a global data privacy program including governance forums, policies, and procedures
- Drive global rollout of privacy requirements across business units and geographies
- Establish and maintain records of processing activities, data inventories, and data retention standards
- Oversee privacy risk assessments, data protection impact assessments, and transfer impact assessments
- Embed privacy by design and default into projects, digital platforms, and business initiatives
- Advise on lawful bases for processing, data subject rights, consent management, and cross border data transfers
- Monitor compliance through audits, reviews, and metrics
- Lead privacy response to personal data incidents and breaches
- Act as key point of contact for regulators and supervisory authorities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Governance, Cybersecurity, Business, Compliance, or related discipline
- Relevant privacy or data protection certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/M, CIPM, CIPT)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in data privacy, data protection, compliance, legal, or related governance roles
- Senior leadership responsibility in complex multinational organizations
- Demonstrated experience designing and rolling out a data privacy program for a global company
- Strong hands on GDPR experience including privacy governance, DPIAs, records of processing, data subject rights, breach response, and cross border transfer compliance
- Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and cross functional stakeholders
- Experience engaging with regulators, auditors, and external counsel on privacy matters
- Excellent English; Spanish and Arabic are an advantage

Job Description
- Responsible for leading the design, rollout, governance, and continuous enhancement of the organization’s global data privacy program.
- Ensures personal data is processed in compliance with GDPR and other applicable privacy laws.
- Serves as senior privacy leader and trusted advisor to executive management.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the enterprise wide data privacy program.
- Serve as senior subject matter expert on GDPR.
- Act as primary privacy advisor to Chief Compliance Officer and senior leadership.
Program Design, Rollout & Governance
- Design, implement, and mature a global data privacy program.
- Drive global rollout of privacy requirements.
- Establish and maintain records of processing activities, data inventories, data retention standards.
Risk Assessment, Advisory & Operational Oversight
- Oversee privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, transfer impact assessments.
- Embed privacy by design and default into projects and systems.
- Advise on lawful bases, data subject rights, consent, cross border transfers.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, IT, Procurement, HR, Internal Audit.
Monitoring, Incident Response & Regulatory Engagement
- Monitor compliance through audits, reviews, metrics.
- Lead privacy response to personal data incidents and breaches.
- Act as key point of contact for regulators.
- Track developments in global privacy regulation.
Culture, Training & Leadership
- Build and lead privacy capability within the organization.
- Develop and deliver targeted privacy training.
- Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Governance, Cybersecurity, Business, Compliance, or related discipline.
