About the Job

  • The Director – Change Management & Communications is accountable for designing and leading the Group Services change management and communications strategy across enterprise initiatives, shared service transformations, and operating model evolution.
  • This role ensures that change is adopted, communications are aligned and impactful, stakeholders are engaged, and benefits are realised through disciplined change practices, compelling narratives, and measurable engagement outcomes.

Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Define and embed the Group Services change management strategy and framework, ensuring consistent application across transformation initiatives and operational changes.
  • Lead end to end change delivery across a portfolio of initiatives, including operating model evolution, shared services optimisation, digital and technology deployments, process redesign, and service culture initiatives.
  • Establish and govern change management standards, artefacts, quality gates, and assurance processes to ensure rigour, consistency, and measurable outcomes.
  • Integrate change activities with programme and portfolio management disciplines, aligning them to scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, training, and benefits realisation.
  • Identify adoption, engagement, and people related risks early, and design mitigation strategies to address resistance, fatigue, or change saturation.
  • Partner with Transformation, PMO, Excellence, HR, and Digital leaders to embed change as a core component of Group Services delivery rather than a separate overlay.
  • Develop and execute a strategic internal and vertical aligned communications approach that supports Group Services priorities, transformation agendas, and service culture objectives.
  • Translate complex initiatives into clear, compelling, and consistent narratives for leadership, managers, and frontline teams.
  • Oversee high quality communication assets, including leadership briefs, FAQs, intranet content, toolkits, campaigns, change story decks, and town hall materials.
  • Embed two way communication mechanisms that enable listening, feedback, and dialogue, rather than relying solely on broadcast messaging.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on communication timing, messaging, and approach during periods of change or disruption.
  • Lead enterprise level stakeholder identification, analysis, and engagement planning for Group Services initiatives.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • Change management certification – Prosci preferred
  • 10–15+ years in change management and communications
  • Enterprise transformation and shared services experience
  • Strategic Communication Planning, Data Analysis, Public Speaking and Presentation Skills, Crisis Communication, Copywriting and Editing, Project Management
  • Strategic change leadership, Executive communication and storytelling, Stakeholder influencing, Data driven mindset, Adaptability, Excellent problem solving, Facilitation and coaching skills
