About the International Office

  • The International Office is a business unit of AD Ports Group (ADPG) to accelerate its expansion globally, supporting the growth synergy and focuses on developing projects that support the five pillars of ADPG: Ports, Maritime, Logistics, Digital and ECFZ.
  • International Office currently spreads in 3 main geographical regions – Africa, Middle East, and Central Asia.

Job Purpose

  • The Director of Business Planning & Development for the Central Asia & Eastern Europe (CIS) region will spearhead the strategic initiatives, planning, and identifying business development opportunities for driving revenue growth and expanding ADPG's presence in Central Asia & Eastern Europe Region.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive business plans and strategies to achieve the company’s growth objectives in the targeted regions.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive landscape. Analyze data to inform business decisions and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures and expansion projects to enhance the company’s market position.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, port authorities and potential clients.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage major business development projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and successful implementation.
  • Financial Management: Develop financial models and projections to support business planning and decision making. Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for business development initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all business activities comply with regional regulations and AD Ports company standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Project Management (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Port, Maritime, and Logistics operations, including industry regulations and best practices.
  • Experience with financial modelling, analytics, and data visualization methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment
  • Financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Arabic is imperative for effective communication with local stakeholders.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Business Plan
