Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Dietary Manager to join our team at our facility. As a Dietary Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food service to our residents, while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
- Supervise and train dietary staff to ensure efficient and effective food service delivery
- Develop and manage the department's budget, including ordering supplies and managing costs
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including food safety and quality control
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of food and supplies
- Participate in food safety and quality control programs
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and recipes that meet the dietary needs of our residents
Requirements
- Dietary Manager certification or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with or without the use of assistive devices
