Certified Nursing Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. • Help patients with eating and drinking as needed. • Transfer and reposition patients safely using proper lifting techniques. • Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration. • Observe and report changes in patients' physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff. • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. • Keep patient rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. • Assist with feeding, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises. • Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests. • Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines. • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED. • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. • Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required by employer). • Ability to lift, move, and assist patients safely. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered attitude.
