Role overview
The role is a DevOps Team Lead responsible for reliable infrastructure supporting globally deployed SaaS platforms.
The position covers real-time telematics, IoT device communication, high-ingestion APIs, live tracking, video and sensor platforms, and multi-tenant SaaS deployments.
The role is expected to improve uptime, deployment speed, scalability, observability, security, and operational efficiency.
Core responsibilities
- Design and optimize cloud and on-premise infrastructure with high availability, scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
- Manage Linux production environments, device-load scaling, cost efficiency, and infrastructure growth.
- Build CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment, rollback, build, and environment provisioning processes.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, observability, incident detection, root cause analysis, and SRE-oriented maturity.
- Implement security controls covering access, secrets, SSL, firewalls, backups, vulnerabilities, and hardening.
- Manage Docker, orchestration, microservices, load balancing, caching, replication, and failover systems.
- Lead DevOps engineers, create standards and SOPs, and coordinate with development, QA, support, and product teams.
- Handle incidents, escalation, postmortems, preventive planning, and operational KPI improvement.
