Role Overview
The employer is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a banking and finance role in Abu Dhabi.
The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, containerization, security, scalability, and microservices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, Oracle Cloud, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton, and other automation tools.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, YAML, and declarative tools.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift orchestration.
- Maintain networking and connectivity between cloud and on-premise systems using VPNs and firewalls.
- Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure integration with backend and frontend services.
- Automate deployments, scaling, and monitoring processes.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and evaluate technologies that improve platform stability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing AWS, Oracle Cloud, or similar cloud infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Tekton.
- Familiarity with Shell, Python, or GoLang scripting.
- Experience with microservice architectures and performance troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud security practices.
- Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in banking, insurance, or e-commerce is preferred.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure familiarity and large-scale performance tuning experience are preferred.
- Cloud or DevOps certifications are a plus.
