Role Overview

Software and Platform Development

• Design, develop, and maintain software platforms and services for data center network infrastructure.
• Build APIs, workflows, and user-facing tools for self-service provisioning and change management.
• Develop reliable, testable, and documented code.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews.

Network Automation and Reliability

• Translate network requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Build configuration management, validation, deployment, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration-as-code automation.
• Integrate tooling with CI/CD and change-control processes.
• Improve network visibility, telemetry ingestion, alerting, resilience, scalability, and production security.
• Partner with SRE and operations teams to improve MTTR and reduce incident recurrence.

Collaboration and Technical Leadership

• Work with network engineers to model network intent, topology, and policy in software.
• Collaborate with security, platform, cloud, and application teams on infrastructure integrations.
• Lead by example in code quality, system design, and operational ownership.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
• Drive technical decisions balancing speed, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
• The role requires 5+ to 7.5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go, or Java, is required.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs or internal developer platforms, networking concepts, automation frameworks, CI/CD, and version control is required.
• Strong understanding of testing, code reviews, and production operations is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with network automation or infrastructure platforms is preferred.
• Data center networking experience with EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, or spine-leaf architectures is preferred.
• Experience integrating network devices, controllers, or vendor APIs is preferred.
• Telemetry, time-series data, monitoring, cloud or hybrid infrastructure, and infrastructure security exposure are preferred.
