Role Overview
Join the team as a Fire Protection Engineer or Designer responsible for designing and estimating firefighting and fire alarm systems.
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates while providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and estimate firefighting and fire alarm systems for various projects.
- Perform fire pump hydraulic calculations to ensure system adequacy.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and industry standards.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for fire protection systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections and provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
- Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from suppliers and contractors.
- Stay updated on fire protection industry trends, technologies, and advancements.
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, coordination, and management.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during client presentations and meetings.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least five years of experience designing and estimating firefighting and fire alarm systems.
