Role focus
The role focuses on electrical design and engineering for medium-voltage and low-voltage systems.
Relevant project environments include power plants, industrial, oil and gas, and EPC projects.
Experience and education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of relevant electrical design and engineering experience.
- Experience with MV/LV electrical systems and associated equipment is required.
Electrical systems and calculations
- Experience with MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, PCCs, distribution boards, and UPS systems.
- Perform protection, coordination, and short-circuit calculations.
- Prepare and review single-line diagrams, load schedules, cable schedules, cable sizing, and voltage-drop calculations.
- Perform transformer and generator sizing and protection coordination studies.
- Design earthing, lightning protection, lighting, and small-power systems.
- Prepare electrical equipment specifications and datasheets.
Drawings, standards, and software
- Review IFC drawings, vendor drawings, and technical submittals.
- Apply IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NEC standards.
