Barry-Wehmiller provides engineering consulting and manufacturing technology for packaging, paper converting, corrugating, sheeting, and industrial automation markets.
The Chennai Global Competency Center supports global businesses through Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Content Management, IT, Sourcing, and Shared Services teams.
The role supports the Papersystems platform through a multidisciplinary GCC Engineering team.
Role Overview
Lead a large multidisciplinary engineering team and own day-to-day delivery, people leadership, capacity alignment, stakeholder communication, and team performance.
Convert platform demand into executable work, develop engineering capability, and enable predictable and sustainable execution.
Core Accountabilities
- Own delivery excellence through planning, project quality, delivery health monitoring, risk resolution, metrics, dashboards, and governance.
- Build capability through coaching, performance management, career development, talent pipelines, and future-leader development.
- Manage team effectiveness through resource alignment, workload monitoring, barrier removal, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.
- Partner with global stakeholders to align priorities, timelines, capacity, workforce planning, and delivery commitments.
