As part of our Web3 expansion, we are building a suite of premium services for crypto-native professionals and investors in the region.

This role sits within that vertical — working directly with clients who are serious about making their capital work harder in DeFi, and who need someone with the hands-on expertise to show them how.

Most people who talk about DeFi yields have read about them.

You have earned them.

You know what it actually takes to run a productive DeFi strategy — not in theory, but across real protocols, real market conditions, and real capital.

You have navigated liquidity crunches, managed positions through volatile periods, understood when an APY is sustainable and when it is a liquidation event waiting to happen.

You have made money in DeFi and you have lost some too, and both experiences have sharpened how you think about risk.

That depth of experience is exactly what this role requires — because you will be bringing it directly to clients.

As DeFi Yield & Risk Strategist at Trendy Career, you will work with a select group of clients — serious investors, HNW individuals, and crypto-native professionals in the UAE — who want to deploy capital into DeFi intelligently.

You will help them understand the landscape, evaluate strategies, manage risk, and execute in a way that reflects their financial goals and risk tolerance.

You are not a salesperson and you are not a fund manager.

You are a practitioner who advises other serious people based on what you know from direct experience.

This is a new function within the company.

The person we hire here will have real ownership of how it is built and run.

Work directly with clients on DeFi capital deployment: yield strategy selection, protocol evaluation, position sizing, risk parameter setting, and ongoing monitoring

Assess DeFi protocols rigorously before recommending them to clients — smart contract risk, liquidity depth, incentive sustainability, oracle exposure, governance structure, and historical behaviour under stress

Develop and maintain a structured framework for evaluating yield opportunities across DeFi: how to compare strategies across protocols, chains, and risk profiles in a way that is honest and actionable

Help clients understand and manage the specific risks of DeFi participation — impermanent loss, liquidation mechanics, bridge risk, smart contract exploits — without oversimplifying or overstating

Build and maintain a live overview of the DeFi yield landscape across major networks: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Solana, and emerging chains — tracking where genuine yield is being generated and where it is being manufactured

Produce clear, client-facing analysis and strategy recommendations — written in a way that a sophisticated non-technical investor can understand and act on

Stay ahead of protocol developments, new mechanisms, and emerging risks — and bring that current knowledge into every client engagement

Contribute to the broader Web3 advisory team by sharing market intelligence and helping develop the company's DeFi knowledge base

What genuinely matters for this role:

You have been actively participating in DeFi for a sustained period — running real strategies, managing real risk, earning real yield.

Not as a side hobby, but as a serious, ongoing practice that has shaped how you think about capital allocation and risk management.

You have direct personal experience with multiple of the following, from actual execution: concentrated liquidity provision and range management on AMMs, lending and borrowing strategies with active collateral management, multi-protocol yield optimisation, leveraged yield strategies and their risk implications, liquid staking and restaking mechanics, cross-chain capital deployment, and protocol-level governance participation.

You understand how DeFi risk actually manifests in practice — not from reading post-mortems, but from having navigated difficult market conditions with positions open.

You can explain impermanent loss, liquidation cascades, and oracle manipulation to a client who has never encountered these concepts, in a way that is accurate and useful rather than frightening or dismissive.

Strong client communication skills — written and verbal.

You work with sophisticated people who will push back if your reasoning is not solid, and you need to be able to hold that conversation with confidence and clarity.

Excellent English, fluent and professional.

Additional languages are an advantage in this market.

4–5+ years of total professional experience; active DeFi participation as a serious, central part of your financial life for at least 3 years.

Based in Dubai or fully committed to relocating from GCC — Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Riyadh, Bahrain, or Kuwait.

Good to have:

Prior client-facing advisory, wealth management, or consulting experience in any sector.

Deep familiarity with on-chain analytics tools — Nansen, DeBank, Dune, Zapper.

Experience with more advanced DeFi mechanics: options protocols, structured vaults, real-world asset protocols, or cross-chain arbitrage strategies.

Existing network among serious DeFi practitioners or investors in the UAE/GCC.

Base salary: AED 540,000 – 800,000 per year (approx.

USD 147,000 – 218,000)

Performance upside tied directly to client outcomes and advisory revenue growth

Total annual compensation target: AED 700,000 – 1,050,000+
