About the Role
Hilton Des Moines Downtown is looking to expand its Housekeeping team by adding a Deep Clean Room Attendant. The position may also perform regular Room Attendant duties as needed. This 330-room hotel offers complimentary airport shuttle service and is conveniently connected to the Iowa Events Center via the Des Moines Skywalk system, making it a premier destination for meetings, conventions, and special events. As a Room Attendant, you’re not just ensuring the cleanliness of guest rooms – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities
- Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Performs Deep Cleaning duties: Cleans guest rooms by moving furniture and cleaning areas such as edging carpets, washing windows, checking drapes, scrubbing bathroom floors, changing shower curtains, vacuuming/shampooing carpet, and dusting. Rotates mattresses on a designated basis.
- Keep guest rooms spotless: Clean and tidy assigned rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and performing deep cleaning tasks as needed
- Replenish linens and amenities: Replace bed linens, towels, and guest essentials as needed
- Manage supplies: Stock, maintain, and transport the housekeeping supply cart daily
- Delight our guests: Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously
- Manage waste disposal: Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas
