- Perform performance tuning to MySQL database through configuring DB as per requirement and indexing columns.
- Maintain users for different databases and manage Master Slave Architecture.
- Create database functions and procedures for performance improvement.
- Establish the needs of users and monitor user access and security.
- Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front end users.
- Map out conceptual design for a planned database and refine logical and physical design.
- Install and test new versions of the DBMS.
- Write database documentation including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary.
- Control access permissions and privileges.
- Develop, manage and test back up and recovery plans.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Requirements
- Working experience with MySQL databases
- Ability to perform performance tuning to MySQL through configuring DB and indexing columns
- Working experience in AWS DBMS is added advantage
- Experience in Master Slave Architecture is advantage
- Knowledge about creating database function and procedures for performance improvement
