Role Overview
The Data & ERP Manager will lead ERP platform evolution, data governance, reporting, analytics, integrations, and automation.
The role owns the integrity, availability, and business value of the ERP platform and its data.
The position connects business processes and information systems across entities, subsidiaries, and third-party applications.
ERP Platform Management
- Own the functional and technical ERP roadmap while balancing business requirements, technical debt, and platform upgrades.
- Lead ERP configuration and functional improvements across finance, purchasing, inventory, sales, projects, and HR modules.
- Plan upgrades and migrations, coordinate regression testing, and manage cut-over and rollback strategies.
- Manage relationships with ERP publishers, integrators, and functional consultants.
- Ensure production platform availability and performance with infrastructure and development teams.
Data Governance and Quality
- Define and enforce master data ownership, naming conventions, referential integrity, lifecycle management, and archiving rules.
- Implement automated checks for duplicate, inconsistent, and incomplete records.
- Maintain the data dictionary and data-flow mappings between the ERP and surrounding applications.
- Establish data retention and processing rules and support compliance with GDPR and equivalent frameworks.
Integration and Automation
- Design, build, and maintain integrations with identity systems, collaboration tools, field applications, financial systems, and third-party APIs.
- Automate imports, reconciliations, batch processing, scheduled synchronizations, and business workflows.
- Ensure traceability, monitoring, auditability, and error handling across automated data flows.
- Work with development teams to implement scalable automation solutions.
Reporting and Analytics
- Build and maintain the reporting and analytics layer, including operational dashboards, management KPIs, financial reporting, and activity reporting.
- Define relevant indicators with business owners and establish a reliable single source of truth.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses for management decisions, budget preparation, and performance reviews.
- Promote self-service data access while maintaining governance and accuracy.
Support and Improvement
- Organize ERP support and manage the qualification, prioritization, and resolution of user requests and incidents.
- Train key users, support ERP adoption, and maintain functional documentation and operating procedures.
- Report on platform availability, service quality, and roadmap progress.
- Maintain technology watch across ERP, data engineering, automation, and analytics and recommend improvements.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ERP management, ERP implementation, or data management.
- Master's degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience leading a complete ERP implementation, migration, or major version upgrade.
- Strong understanding of business processes and their translation into ERP solutions.
- Experience working with business and technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of ERP processes including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, project costing, and accounting.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, REST APIs, webhooks, ETL or iPaaS tools, and automation platforms.
- Knowledge of BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Metabase, or Superset.
- Knowledge of Python or equivalent scripting languages, Linux, version control, and deployment practices.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, master data management, reporting, analytics, and data quality management.
Role Evolution
The scope is expected to expand progressively with organizational priorities and ongoing initiatives.
The role may evolve toward managing a dedicated Data & ERP team.
