Role Overview

The role is a Senior Developer – Data Engineering & Application Support within the software development and engineering category.

The position develops, maintains, and supports enterprise data pipelines and applications across Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and Oracle/ODI environments.

The work includes ETL/ELT development, ingestion, SQL, data quality validation, production troubleshooting, performance optimization, testing, and deployment.

Schedule and Employment

  • The shift is 5:30pm–2:30am.
  • The employment type is full time.

Workplace and Location

  • The work mode is work from office or hybrid according to business requirements.
  • The stated primary locations are Chennai or Hyderabad, India.

Data Engineering and ETL/ELT

  • Develop and support ETL/ELT pipelines for enterprise data processing.
  • Develop batch and near-real-time ingestion, transformations, workflows, reusable components, and recovery mechanisms.
  • Support data models used for analytics and reporting.

Cloud and Database Delivery

  • Develop Snowflake and Databricks tables, views, schemas, models, loading processes, stored procedures, and scheduled tasks.
  • Develop AWS Glue jobs, S3 ingestion processes, and IAM-controlled access.
  • Develop ODI mappings, packages, interfaces, PL/SQL procedures, and scripts, and support Oracle database activities.

Quality, Support, and Optimization

  • Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, discrepancy investigation, and preventive controls.
  • Monitor pipelines, resolve production incidents within SLAs, analyze logs, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Tune SQL and processing jobs and improve execution time and operational reliability.

Testing and Deployment

  • Develop unit and integration tests and validate data transformations and reconciliation results.
  • Prepare deployment scripts and technical documentation, support releases across environments, and perform post-deployment validation.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on SQL and ETL/ELT experience is required.
  • Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks, enterprise data pipelines, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Oracle, PL/SQL, and ODI is required.
  • Experience with data validation, reconciliation, production support, incident management, performance optimization, and multi-environment deployments is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, ownership, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills are required.
