About the role
The Data Centre Support Technician (L1) supports network and desktop infrastructure, connectivity, performance, service quality, uptime, and SLA compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide Level 2–3 support for network-related incidents and service requests.
- Monitor network performance and identify connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and basic routing and switching problems.
- Manage tickets within defined service-level agreements.
- Assist with network device configuration and installation.
- Support VPN connectivity and user access issues.
- Maintain incident, configuration, and resolution documentation.
- Follow network support standards and procedures.
- Escalate complex issues to Level 2 or Level 3 teams.
- Communicate with users, internal IT teams, vendors, and service providers.
- Provide timely updates to supervisors and stakeholders.
