- Engage with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals; bring structure to business requests and lead complex projects through completion.
- Acquire and compile structured and unstructured data and verify its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.
- Perform analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods.
- Prepare and deliver expert level visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into actionable solutions.
- Develop, own and manage recurring analytic or reporting processes.
- Actively develop the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching and connecting others with resources and training.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 4 years in advanced analytics, statistical modeling or business intelligence
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, IT, or a Bachelor’s in Statistics/Mathematics
- Expertise in SQL for data querying, performance optimization, and database management
- Strong proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis, automation, and machine learning model development
- Experience with cloud based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including data lakes and big data processing tools
- Ability to translate complex data insights into clear and actionable recommendations for business stakeholders

Role Summary
- The Data Analyst, Senior Specialist is responsible for driving data driven decision making across the organization by leading complex analytical projects, optimizing data processes and delivering actionable insights.
- This role involves extracting, cleaning and analyzing large datasets to identify trends, measure performance and support strategic initiatives.
