Overview
- As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will investigate cybersecurity incidents, analyze digital evidence, monitor emerging cyber threats, and support the implementation of effective security controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate cybersecurity incidents.
- Analyze logs from multiple sources to identify potential security threats.
- Perform incident triage to determine severity, impact, and remediation priorities.
- Conduct forensic evidence collection in accordance with relevant standards.
- Support incident response activities, including threat analysis, intrusion investigation, and system remediation.
- Correlate security events to identify vulnerabilities and attack patterns.
- Track cybersecurity incidents from detection through resolution.
- Prepare incident reports, security recommendations, and post incident documentation.
- Monitor external threat intelligence sources to identify emerging cyber risks.
- Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to assess indicators of compromise and attack trends.
- Apply defense in depth principles and cybersecurity best practices.
- Assist in identifying security gaps and recommending mitigation strategies.
