Role overview

Radius is hiring a Cyber Security Analyst to protect systems, networks and data against cyber threats.

The analyst will report to the Head of Cyber and work from the Emperor Court office in Crewe, Cheshire.

The role supports threat detection, incident response, security controls, compliance and security best practice across the business.

The role will help maintain the accredited ISMS, with a focus on ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.

The analyst will help define and mature SOC processes and support day-to-day security control operations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimize security technologies and controls across internal and customer-facing platforms.
  • Identify cyber risks, control deficiencies and improvement opportunities, then recommend risk-reduction actions.
  • Support secure cloud infrastructure and service design and development.
  • Integrate secure design principles and cybersecurity requirements into the SDLC.
  • Maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures and technical documentation.
  • Monitor alerts and conduct threat detection, investigation, incident response and vulnerability management.
  • Research emerging threats and work with vendors and service providers on security improvements.
  • Lead security initiatives and support monitoring, audits, risk assessments and compliance activities.

Technical requirements

  • Strong practical cybersecurity knowledge across technology environments.
  • Application security experience with software development teams.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing and security assessments.
  • Experience with EDR, NDR and SIEM technologies.
  • Understanding of incident response, infrastructure, networking, cloud security and secure architecture.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK and NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL or service management principles and ability to prioritize multiple activities.
